Step-by-step

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More and then Settings.
  3. Click extensions and Remove any non-school extensions (themes, games, emulators, VPNs, Ad Blockers, etc.)
  4. Turn off all other extensions (Note: If the extension cannot be turned off, it is being managed by the WRDSB)
  5. Clear Browser Data
  6. Reset your Browser Settings
  7. Sign out of the Chromebook
  8. Remove your Account
  9. Sign into your WRDSB Google Account again
  10. Turn on extensions one at a time to identify the problem extension

You can Reset your Browser Settings in Chrome at any time. You might need to do this if apps or extensions you installed changed your settings without your knowledge. For example, if your homepage was changed or every time you open a new tab a website loads. Your saved bookmarks and passwords won’t be cleared or changed.
