All efforts are made to ensure these instructions and resolutions will work on personal devices, however, all devices are different, success may vary.

IntelliGO is no longer supporting the application for installing certificates on macOS. This installation will not work on the newest versions of macOS

Install certificates and software

  1. Connect to the WRDSB Wireless network (not WRDSB Signup or WRDSB Secure)

You must be at a WRDSB site, on a WRDSB network to complete the enrollment to WRDSB Secure

If you are unsure how to connect to a wireless network in macOS, please view this Connect to a Wi-Fi network in macOS article from Apple

  2. Navigate to https://intelligo.wrdsb.ca/join/ using the Safari browser

Do not forget the slash at the end of this address, it will not work without it

  3. Enter your WRDSB Email Address, Username and Password
  4. Click Sign In
  5. Select Macintosh in the Platform dropdown
  6. Click Download Setup
  7. The installer file will download to your Downloads folder, or the folder you specified
  8. Open the IntelliGo-5.2 file
  9. A window will open, asking if you are sure you want to open it, click Open
  10. Enter your macOS User Name and Password when prompted, then click OK

This is the username and password to login to the MacBook, which is likely different than your WRDSB username and password

  11. The IntelliGO Setup Wizard will open, click Next
  12. Click Next again on the Ready to Install screen
  13. When setup is complete, click Finish

If an error message saying “Problem running post-install step.” appears, click OK

The device will now connect to the WRDSB Secure network, continue to Set preferred network to complete the setup. If it does not connect automatically, the credentials may need to be configured manually as described below.

Configure credentials

  1. Select WRDSB Secure from the list of available Wi-Fi networks
  2. The credentials window will open
  3. Select EAP-TLS from the Mode dropdown
  4. Select your WRDSB Username from the Identity dropdown
  5. Enter your WRDSB Username in the Username field
  6. Check the box next to Remember this network
  7. Select Join

Set preferred network

Setting the preferred network ensures that the MacBook will connect to the WRDSB Staff and Students network over other networks available on site.

  1. Open System PreferencesNetwork
  2. Select Advanced in the bottom right of the window
  3. Drag the WRDSB Secure network to the top of the list
  4. Select OK

Removing the profile and certificate

To remove the certificate and the IntelliGo profile from the device:

  1. Open System Preferences Profiles
  2. Highlight the MAC OS Profile in the left panel
  3. Click the minus button at the bottom left of the window
  4. A window will open confirming the removal of the profile, click Remove
  5. Enter your macOS User Name and Password when prompted, then click OK

This is the username and password to login to the MacBook, which is likely different than your WRDSB username and password

The device will be disconnected from the WRDSB Secure Wi-Fi network.
