Video | How to join a Google Meet
There are three ways that you can join a Google Meet: Google Classroom invite; Google Calendar invite and by an email invite. Google Meet can be accessed through a browser of via the Google Meet App. You can install the App from the WRDSBAppCatalog.
Google Classroom invitation
- Open your Google Classroom
- Sign in to Google Classroom using your WRDSB Account if you are not already signed in
- Tap on the stream in the bottom, left section of the screen
- Tap on the meeting announcement
- Tap on the meeting link
- Tap on allow for microphone and camera access (can be disabled at any time during the Google Meet)
Google Calendar invitation
- Open your Google Calendar
- Sign in to Google Calendar using your WRDSB Account if you are not already signed in
- Tap the three vertical lines in the top left corner
- Tap schedule
- Scroll through your events in the Calendar to find your Google Meet
- Tap on the Google Meet event in your calendar
- Tap on Join with Google Meet
- Tap on allow for microphone and camera access (can be disabled at any time during the Google Meet)
Gmail invitation
- Open your GMail
- Sign in to GMail using your WRDSB account if you are not already signed in
- Invites for Google Meet will be sent to your WRDSB email account for Google Classroom and Calendar invites
- A direct email Google Meet invite can also be sent to your account
- Click on the email with the invite
- Tap on the link within the email to join the Google Meet
- Tap on allow for microphone and camera access (can be disabled at any time during the Google Meet)
