There are three ways that you can join a Google Meet: Google Classroom invite; Google Calendar invite and by an email invite. Google Meet can be accessed through a browser of via the Google Meet App. You can install the App from the WRDSBAppCatalog.

Google Classroom invitation

  1. Open your Google Classroom
  2. Sign in to Google Classroom using your WRDSB Account if you are not already signed in
  3. Tap on the stream in the bottom, left section of the screen
  4. Tap on the meeting announcement
  5. Tap on the meeting link
  6. Tap on allow for microphone and camera access (can be disabled at any time during the Google Meet)

Google Calendar invitation

  1. Open your Google Calendar
  2. Sign in to Google Calendar using your WRDSB Account if you are not already signed in
  3. Tap the three vertical lines in the top left corner
  4. Tap schedule
  5. Scroll through your events in the Calendar to find your Google Meet
  6. Tap on the Google Meet event in your calendar
  7. Tap on Join with Google Meet
  8. Tap on allow for microphone and camera access (can be disabled at any time during the Google Meet)

Gmail invitation

  1. Open your GMail
  2. Sign in to GMail using your WRDSB account if you are not already signed in
  3. Invites for Google Meet will be sent to your WRDSB email account for Google Classroom and Calendar invites
  4. A direct email Google Meet invite can also be sent to your account
  5. Click on the email with the invite
  6. Tap on the link within the email to join the Google Meet
  7. Tap on allow for microphone and camera access (can be disabled at any time during the Google Meet)
